About a year ago, I planted sunflowers. They sprouted, I tied them to supports. They became strong and independent. I continued to water them and love them . Eventually, they bloomed into the the most beautiful blood red evening sunflowers. I enjoyed them greatly. However, petal by petal they slowly died in the seasons change. I cut them down, and watered the pot. I continued to water dirt. Never giving up. Sometimes skipping a few weeks, but nevertheless. Last week, I found a new seedling stretching out of the soil, reaching up for the spring sky. Soon, I will have sunflowers again.
